Last updated: August 3, 2026
Wordim ("we", "us", the "App") is a multiplayer word game available on the web, Android, and iOS. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Wordim you agree to this policy.
Contact / data controller: Wordim — support@wordim.app — wordim.app
1. What we collect
- Account data. When you create a permanent account we collect your email address (email/password sign-up) or a sign-in identifier from your chosen provider (Google Sign-In; Apple Sign-In where available), plus your chosen username/nickname. You can play as a guest without an email; a temporary nickname is generated for you.
- Gameplay data. Game history, scores, experience (XP), in-game coin balances, leaderboard rankings, rooms/matches you join, and in-game reactions (emotes) you send during a match.
- Purchase data. If you buy the one-time "Wordim Pro" upgrade, the purchase is processed by the app store (Google Play or Apple) and by RevenueCat, our billing provider. We receive a record of your purchase/entitlement status. We never receive or store your card or payment details.
- Support communications. If you contact us through the in-app form, we receive the message you send and the address needed to reply.
- Technical data. Like any online service, our servers process basic technical information (such as IP address and request logs) to run the game, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.
2. What we do NOT do
- We do not show third-party ads and do not use an advertising identifier.
- We do not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
- We do not collect your precise or physical location.
- We do not sell your personal data.
3. How we use your data
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in across devices.
- To run multiplayer games, matchmaking, leaderboards, XP, and the coin economy.
- To deliver and restore purchases and premium features.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that operate the game on our behalf, under agreements limiting their use of the data:
- Supabase — hosting, authentication, and database for accounts and gameplay data.
- RevenueCat and the Google Play / Apple App Store billing systems — to process and validate purchases.
- Google / Apple sign-in — only if you choose those sign-in options.
We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or us.
5. Data retention
We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise the associated personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal, security, or accounting obligations.
6. Your rights and choices
- You can access, correct, or delete your account data.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting support@wordim.app.
- Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/EEA, UK), you may have additional rights to access, portability, restriction, or objection under applicable law.
7. Children
Wordim is intended for users aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our hosting provider using industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. International transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date above.
